June 29th - Thou Shalt Not Go There

The right side of this road (just a bridge, really) has been closed ever since the major rain storms in March. It makes things a little inconvenient at the intersection of Speen and Route 135.

June 28th - Toy Story

After watching Toy Story 3 last week, I can't help but wonder what adventures my toys (or figurines, in this case) get in to while I'm away.

I'm steadily making progress packing up my apartment. Sammy may have fun playing "fort" in a few days.

I snapped this photo just before it began to rain this afternoon. The rain didn't last long once it started — an hour, at the most.

There are daffodils blooming all over Natick/Framingham. I took this picture in front of Target.

June 20th - Cat Food

It is a truth universally acknowledged that a cat and his food should not be parted. Unfortunately for Sammy, his diet does not allow him to have unlimited food. He does not agree with said diet and believes he should have food anytime he wants.

Poor Sammy.

June 19th - Garden in the Woods

I went to Garden in the Woods in Framingham this afternoon. Even though it was hot (90 degrees!), it was an enjoyable way to spend a couple hours. I took this picture at the Lily Pond but didn't realize there was a frog on the limb until I looked at the picture on my computer. The place is just full of surprises.

June 18th - Sad Bed

I took my comforter to the cleaners on Wednesday, and it won't be ready until a week from tomorrow. I'm making do with sheets and blankets on my bed for the time being. My bed isn't quite as pretty now, but I still make it every morning so it will look as nice as it can.

June 17th - Welcome to Natick

I've taken this same picture several times but never used it as my picture of the day. So today I did.

June 16th - Traffic Jam

This is what counts for a traffic jam in Natick. The intersection of Route 135 and Speen Street has been a fairly congested area ever since they closed part of Speen Street after the March floods. Coming from downtown, it can take almost 15-20 minutes to get home, even though it's only a few miles.

June 15th - Toile Chair

I love this chair my mom made for me while I was at UT. It's suffered a little wear and tear over the years (mostly at the hands, um, claws of Sammy), but it's still one of the prettiest things I own. I sat in it today for the first time in a long time as I talked to my mom on the phone.

June 14th - Peter Cottontail

This afternoon I had to do my laundry. As I was walking back to my car, I noticed a bunny near the laundry building. I quietly grabbed my camera out of the car and snuck as close to the bunny as I could. Luckily I was able to snap a few pictures before he hopped away.

June 13th - Sammy 1, Kendra 0

I think I may have lost this battle for now. Perhaps I can win the war.

June 12th - Mac v. PC

It's really not a fair fight.

June 11th - Kayaks

I drove over to Burlington today to eat at Chick-fil-A and do some shopping. One of the places I stopped at was L.L. Bean. These kayaks were located outside of the store. I think the colors and shapes make this a really interesting photo.

June 10th - Tree Down

This tree in my apartment complex was cut down within the last few days. I'm not sure if the storms over the weekend had anything to do with it.

June 9th - Morse Institute Library

I've been spending a lot of time at the library over the last week or so and have been able to get a lot of work done there. It's so nice to be able bring my new computer and not have to worry about the battery running out.

June 8th - Running Shoes

The weather has been so nice the last few days that I've been able to take evening walks. These shoes are getting a work out for sure.

June 7th - Stuff

Once again I am collecting items to donate to Salvation Army. This is my current stack.

June 6th - Roche Bros.

They've been doing work on the Roches Bros. grocery store near my house for several weeks now. Every time I go inside, there are new changes, and I have to find my way around again. It looks like the outside will have a new facade as well.

June 5th - Special K

After my lesson at the Apple store, I stopped at anthropologie on my way out of the mall. Since the fabric letters were on sale, I decided to treat myself to a K.

June 1st - Squirrels

I looked out my bedroom window this afternoon and saw these three squirrels playing in the tree. They looked like they were really enjoying the break from the showers. (Their tails definitely are fluffier than Texas squirrels, don't you think?)
